Research
– Design of multidisciplinary applications/products for activities, cognitive stimulation and communication for populations with specific needs – Prototyping and digital fabrication – aTOP_FabLab – Development of technology-based (re)habilitative and differentiated intervention protocols – Hosting master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral students in research projects in the area of health, therapy and rehabilitation – Participation with other national and international institutions, namely within RUN-EU – Regional University Network, in research projects to develop digital solutions for people with occupational performance limitations
Training
– Training on assistive technologies – Initial training for caregivers and students – Continuing training for professionals in the field (therapists, nurses, doctors, teachers) – Support for advanced and postgraduate training
Community support
– Demonstration, assessment, training sessions; advice on purchasing or prescribing assistive products – Training health, rehabilitation and education professionals and future professionals, formal and informal caregivers or the user themselves – Implementation and monitoring of assistive technologies under Espaço INCLUI – Digital training for adults with functional limitations under the EUSOUDIGITAL Program – Adapting daily life contexts, particularly learning and working environments, using assistive technologies – Promoting independent living for people with functional impairments
