Dino Freitas is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Technology and Management and the School of Health, both at the Polytechnic of Leiria. He has a degree in Biomechanics and a master’s degree in Product Conception and Design Engineering from the Polytechnic of Leiria, and a PhD in Technological Innovation from the University of Girona.
His current research interests concern Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Devices, Biomanufacturing and Digital Manufacturing. He has organised several international conferences, workshops, seminars and museum exhibitions. He is the author of several publications in journals, book chapters and conference proceedings, has co-edited 2 books and holds 2 patents. Since 2010 he has been involved in more than 20 research projects.
