Andreia Matos
Andreia Matos is from Vila Real. She has a degree and a master’s in Rehabilitation Engineering and Human Accessibility from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. During her academic career, she published three scientific articles at international conferences:
- Multi-sensory Storytelling to Support Learning for People with Intellectual Disability: An Exploratory Didactic Study;
- A myographic-based HCI solution proposal for upper limb amputees;
- Human–computer interaction based on facial expression recognition: a case study in degenerative neuromuscular disease.
Between 2016 and 2020, he worked for Sem Barreiras in Viseu, designing 3D Snoezelen rooms. She founded Adapt4you in 2018, a company dedicated to developing and selling support products for people with disabilities. She is also a trainer for various organizations. She was a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto in 2020, in the CTESP Gerontological Support Services and Technologies. She is currently a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria in the CTESP Health Support Products. She is passionate about researching and developing new projects and products that can make the daily lives of people with disabilities more accessible and inclusive.
