She holds a PhD in Education Sciences – Teacher Training, a Master’s degree in Supervision, a postgraduate degree in Special Education, Cognitive and Motor Domain, specialising in Language Acquisition and Disorders, and a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education – 1st Cycle. Her areas of interest include Education Sciences/Inclusive Education, Language and Communication Sciences, and the study of Inclusion and Accessibility. In this context, she has participated in various research projects, presented papers at scientific events, written articles and book chapters, and supervised several academic works.

She is currently an assistant professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, where she is part of the Department of Languages and Literatures. She is also a member of the Scientific-Pedagogical Committee of the Master’s Degree in Accessible Communication and is part of the Organising and Scientific Committee of the International Conference for Inclusion – INCLUDiT.
