She has a PhD in Educational Sciences – Teacher Training, a Master’s degree in Supervision, a postgraduate degree in Special Education, Cognitive and Motor Sciences, a specialisation in Language Acquisition and Disorders and a degree in Primary Education – 1st Cycle. Her areas of interest include Education Sciences/Inclusive Education, Language and Communication Sciences and the study of Inclusion and Accessibility. In this context, she has taken part in various research projects, presented papers at scientific events, written articles and book chapters and supervised various academic projects.

She is currently an adjunct professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic of Leiria, in the Department of Languages and Literatures. She is also a member of the Scientific-Pedagogical Committee of the Master’s Degree in Accessible Communication and is part of the Organising and Scientific Committee of the International Conference for Inclusion – INCLUDiT.
