Dulce Gomes
An occupational therapist since 1984, she has further training and professional experience in Health Services Management and Administration, Health Services Quality and Upper Limb Re-education. She is currently undertaking a Doctoral Programme in Education, in the field of Assessment and Supervision, at the University of Aveiro. She holds the title of Specialist in Therapy and Rehabilitation.
Until 2009 she worked mainly with occupational performance deficits of neurological and musculoskeletal origin at the Alcoitão Rehabilitation Medicine Centre at the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Hospital, CHBM.
An adjunct professor at the Escola Superior de Saúde do Politécnico de Leiria, she is the coordinator of the degree course in Occupational Therapy, having been the coordinator of the first edition of the Postgraduate Specialisation in Hand Therapy and one of the main driving forces behind the creation of aTOPlab. She is currently deputy director of the School of Health.
