José Filipe Antunes has a degree in Occupational Therapy from the Porto School of Health Technology, as well as several specialized/advanced training courses in the areas of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Support Products, Gerontology, and Palliative Care. Throughout his career, he has contributed to several publications in the above-mentioned areas.
His interests are focused on medical devices—assistive products from a research perspective (study, design, development, application, production) and from a business perspective in the healthcare industry.
He currently works as an Occupational Therapist, Training Manager, Head of the Hospital Area, and Head of the Rehabilitation Department at Gameiros Material Clínico. He also works as a Guest Assistant at the School of Health – Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
