Luís Vicente is a senior technician at aTOPlab – Assistive Technology and Occupational Performance Laboratory of the School of Health Sciences and collaborating researcher in ciTechCare – Center for Innovative Care and Health Technology of the Polytechnic of Leiria. He is currently a doctoral student in “Formación en la Sociedad del Conocimiento” at the University of Salamanca. Master, specialised training and post-graduated in Special Education in the Cognitive-Motor Field.

From the academic year 2011/2012 to 2013/2014 he was Guest Assistant Professor by the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic of Leiria.

He received the Award for Social and Human Sciences – 2021, for the work “Social Inclusion: Evaluation of Accessibility in Social Equipment. A Case Study”, in the context of her master’s degree, awarded by the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security and the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P.

Research areas: Architectural, attitudinal, instrumental, digital and communicational accessibilities. Inclusion of students with specific needs in Higher Education Institutions.
