
Luís Vicente is a senior technician at aTOPlab – Assistive Technology and Occupational Performance Laboratory of the School of Health Sciences, Case Manager in the 100% IN® Project and collaborating researcher in ciTechCare – Center for Innovative Care and Health Technology of the Polytechnic of Leiria. He has a degree in Basic Education Teachers, Musical Education variant, post-graduated, with specialised training and Master in Special Education in the Cognitive-Motor Field, from the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic of Leiria. He is currently a doctoral student in “Formación en la Sociedad del Conocimiento” at the University of Salamanca.
From the academic year 2011/2012 to 2013/2014 he was periodically hired by the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic of Leiria as Guest Assistant Professor.
He was a research fellow (Inclusion incubator: teachers’ perceptions of inclusive school practices and their legal framework) and a senior technician at CRID® – Resource Centre for Digital Inclusion of the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic of Leiria.
He received the Award for Social and Human Sciences – 2021, for the work “Social Inclusion: Evaluation of Accessibility in Social Equipment. A Case Study”, in the context of her master’s degree, awarded by the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security and the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P.
Research areas: Architectural, attitudinal, instrumental, digital and communicational accessibilities. Inclusion of students with specific needs in Higher Education Institutions.
