Biomedical engineer at ANDITEC, visiting assistant at the School of Health of the Polytechnic of Leiria. Specialised in augmentative communication for adults and children with progressive neuromuscular diseases and other pathologies. Experience in assessing, implementing and training eyetracking-controlled AAC systems with clinical teams, carers and end users. Technical adaptation of various access interfaces, hardware and software, to specific assessment and intervention contexts, for technicians working in healthcare institutions and educational establishments. This transdisciplinary work aims to develop new solutions for complex communication needs based on eyetracking systems, access through scanning, among other more standard ones. She is a trainer and guest lecturer at various higher education and health schools focusing on the themes of Digital Accessibility and Augmentative Communication.
